Making it in sports

One of the wonderful things in our society is sports.Beginning with the pro athletes even going all the way to the little kids.We get to benefit from it all.  One thing about sports though, no matter how gifted you are it’s still very mental.

What am I referring to with that?  We have all seen very gifted athletes who couldn’t make it.  When you look at why, a lot of times it was in their head.  I know this for a fact helping a lot of athletes doing sports psychology in San Diego.At each level there comes a point where most people are pretty good.The ones that can overcome the mental part of the game are the ones that will find success.

Most of the times the reason that holds a lot of athletes back from success is the mental aspect of the game.We see it all the time in cases of pro athletes who are gifted just can’t succeed in their game anymore.

But we also know about the cases where a struggling athelete who hired a sports psychologist suddenly turned it around.

In golf, Tiger Woods is hands down the best goler our there in terms of his mental game.Yes, he is very good at his game.  But it is amazing to watch his competitors wilt under pressure when playing him.  Very good case in point of how mental sports are.

So for those atheltes considering going on with their career in sports, they have to begin in high school.  By starting in high school, I mean they should make sure their mental game is in tip top shape.  If they have to they should hire a therapist.  I get hired all the time to do teen therapy in San Diego to help young athletes. 

When it comes down to making it big or being mediocre, it could mean all the difference in the world.So if you are experiencing struggles in sports, examine yourself.  A lot of times the physical struggles are a result of mental struggles. La Isla is a waterfront setting that stretches down to the main town centre of El Foro. Residents benefit from stunning views from their apartments across the lake as well as three infinity pools that give the impression of being part of the lake itself. La Isla has tranquil boulevards and green spaces that incorporate children’s play areas. Around the lake are several piers from which a ferry service runs to the town centre.

El Foro & El Oasis Town Centre

The focus of activity at the Condado de Alhama golf resort is within the El Foro and El Oasis town centres. El Foro means ‘The Forum’ and this vast 12,000 square metre complex includes the relocated El Agora town centre which initially served the Los Naranjos complex. Designed in a Hispanic-Arabic style around a courtyard with a large central water feature, the El Foro town centre is due to open this month (July 2009) and along with the 60,000 square metre El Oasis town centre provides bars, restaurants, banks, stores, supermarkets, hairdressers, launderettes, pharmacies, restaurants, cinemas and healthcare services to residents.
